We reached a significant milestone today! We went to our in-person meeting at the prefecture in Bourges. When arriving, we met two other Ukrainian families. Luba was able to

I was agreeable surprised! The person that took care of us at the Prefecture was VERY nice. She reviewed all the papers we brought with us. She was impressed that I digitalized all the documents for her in advance. She told me that we saved her 20 min of work.
After 20 min, we were done. Luba left with her new French working permit and the right for her to open a bank from two authorized banks (Credit Agricole and La Poste). Tomorrow, we will then open her bank account!
Within the next two weeks, we will be called for a second in-person meeting where the financial help that Luba and her family will be receiving from the French government.
At least Luba and her family are now fully registered and legal in the country!
