As some of you know, Paula arrived two Sunday ago from Seattle, and the 2 of us took four days off strolling Paris. On Monday, we went to Giverny by train (45 min from Paris) to visit the house of Monet, the painter. We decided to walk from the Vernon-Giverny train station to the house (9 miles round-trip). I was born in Vernon, and my grandparents always lived there, so it was a moment back in time. The last time I went was 28 years ago, and it was the first time for Paula. It was very cool to walk through the city via streets that I was always using when I was a teenager.
The Monet garden is a must-do!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we went to Le Petit Palais, Canal St-Martin, le village de St Paul, les Gallery Lafayette and the Printemps stores, as well as many good restaurants :)

Wednesday night, we left our hotel and rented an Airbnb next to Disneyland Paris when Luba, Mark, Dasha, my sister Lydia, her husband Nico, and their two kids (Emy and Lana) joined us. All 9 of us were going to spend the day at Disneyland.
As I mentioned in a previous blog, we invited everyone to celebrate Mark's birthday. So, we spent the entire day at Disneyland in nice weather on Thursday. We did many rides during the days, alternating the rides for the young kids (Mark and Lana) and then for the rest of us.

On Friday, we took them for a tour of Paris and went to le Sacre Coeur, Monmartre, la Tour Eiffel, l'Arc de Triomphe, les Champs Elysee, et le jardin des tuileries. Friday night, we all went back to Mehun (some of us by car and others by train)
It was a great week of fun!
