Starting visa and first groceries

Today, we started the registration of Luba and her family as a refugee in France. So far, I am very impressed by the French government - everything is (so far) straightforward. Here is what is required for her registration. I am attaching the English version, but all forms are available in French, English, and Ukrainian

Today, we went to take pictures for the visas and completed forms. I am now waiting to sign the apartment lease, and then the four of us will go officially file for their visas.

We also went for the first groceries. They are still 'shy,' so the cart was pretty empty (per my standard :). At least they can now cook their own meals

Marcke (4 yrs. old) spent part of his afternoon playing with my niece (7 years old). They could not speak with each other, but they were still laughing.

Tomorrow, we will buy some French SIM cards for their phone and go clothes shopping. However, as they only came with one medium suitcase for the 3 of them, they barely had anything.
