Finally arrived in her new home

Today, we finally finished our trip after 12 hours drive from Hannover in German to Mehun in the center of France. We spend the car right using Microsoft and Google Translate - I do not know what we would have done with them! Of course, the conversation is slow. Sometimes the translation is simply wrong (often creating big laughs), but we have been able to get to know each other and build some trust.

I have good vibes about our newly built friendship. The three of them are friendly people.

My family prepared some welcome gifts waiting for them once they entered the house that I rented from them on Airbnb until Sunday

My family also prepared a quick Ukrainian welcome song! It was a scene full of hugs!

It will be their first night tonight, just the three of them in a safe place.

Tomorrow, we will be started a new phase: starting the entire process of registering them legally into the refugee program. I am sure it will be fun and a long ride to complete.
